Rural Action In Development Society

  • RAIDS Promoted Village Level Child Protection Committees (VLCPCs),  formed Adolescent Boys and Girls groups, Mother’s Committees, Balapanchayaths, Para Legal Volunteers and Bare fool counselors among 20 villages of Pulivendula constituency.
  • 15 Child Rights CSOs, 60 Religious leaders of Muslim and Hindu religions and 20 media personnel (print and electronic), 80 Government officials of different line departments and 20 representative of Corporate Sector have been sensitised on prevention of Child Marriages and Child Trafficking and Promotion of Secondary Education for Gairls and Job Oriented Vocational Training for Young Women.
  • 425 Vulnerable Girls and Boys trained in Fashion designing and computer training.
  • 112 Early child marriages were prevented by RAIDS in collaboration with VLCPCs/ CMPOs.
  • Trained 147 Women as community resource persons in the areas of livestock management, community trainings, community health, marketing and livelihoods.
  • 1452 children from Vulnerable communities have been oriented on child protection issues like child marriages, child trafficking and child sexual abuse and exploitation.
  • 56 Exploited/abused boys and 72 Girls received educational services during the year.
  • 235 Vulnerable families have been provided with Rs. 57, 79, 000.00/- as revolving fund for their livelihood support services.
  • 356 Groups are active with 3560 women and one women federation (Prema Macts) is actively functioning and resolving social and financial issues members of groups.
  • 696 women received training on Income Generation Activities and marketing.
  • 284 People trained in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).            
  • Created awareness to general public on Swatch Bharat and cashless transactions.
  • Awareness camps conducted in 35 schools on protection of child rights and also protection issues of child marriages, child sexual abuse and exploitation and child trafficking.
  • 26 IEC Material developed on protection of child rights and distributed to Community, Civil Society Organisations and Government line departments.
  • 6 posters released on prevention of issues of Gender Based Violence including child marriage, child sexual abuse and exploitation and child trafficking.
  • 2665 hectares of unfertile dry land is brought under normal cultivation and became highly productive through borewells and drip irrigation systems.
  • 68 families have expertise in low-cost technologies, like vermicompost making, use of bio gas, use of sustainable agricultural practices and livestock promotion.
  • 20 villages, 2368 children and 2565 members have better access to safe drinking water.
  • Open defecation is decreased by 60-90% by construction of2952 individual toilets.
  • 1566 malnourished childrenare brought to a normal stage through supplementary nutrition.
  • 5346 flood affected families in 25 villages in Kurnool district are provided relief benefits with the support of EFFICOR –New Delhi and MRDF.
  • 3,12,78,000 rupees worth of infrastructure like roads, school compounds, community halls, toilets and drinking water at schools are mobilized by the government.
  • Facilitated effective service delivery assisting the Government during COVID 19 relief support services like awareness on preventive measures and protocols, distribution of masks, sanitizers, soaps and face shields, dry ration, provisions and vegetables to the vulnerable communities.
